Currently, lung cancer is the primary focus, though insights were also developed for female breast cancer, colorectal cancer, melanoma, and prostate cancer. See how many new cases are diagnosed each year and how many Mainers lose their battle.

For every 100,000 Maine residents, approximately 128 new breast cancer cases were diagnosed every year from 2015-2019 and approximately 18 new deaths from breast cancer occurred per year.

For every 100,000 Maine residents, approximately 36 new colorectal cancer cases were diagnosed every year from 2015-2019 and approximately 13 new deaths from colorectal cancer occurred per year.

For every 100,000 Maine residents, approximately 70 new lung and bronchus cancer cases were diagnosed every year from 2015-2019 and approximately 46 new deaths from lung and bronchus cancer occurred per year.

For every 100,000 Maine residents, approximately 27 new cases of melanomas of the skin diagnosed every year from 2015-2019 and approximately 2 new deaths from melanomas of the skin occurred per year.

For every 100,000 Maine residents, approximately 97 new prostate cancer cases were diagnosed every year from 2015-2019 and approximately 19 new deaths from prostate cancer occurred per year.
